What is everybody's favorite H>S>F? I personally am partial to 6-9-77. What other good ones are out there?

06-09-1977 and 10-11-1977 are probably the best of the '77 lot, 05-15-1983 Greek Theatre is one of my favorites, 10-12-1983 is a good one...the ones from 84 and 85 are decent enough...10-08-1989 is the '89 revival...06-14-1991 and 09-10-1991 for later versions...06-28-1992 and 06-22-1993 and maybe 09-22-1993 as the "last" great versions...

not sure if it's my favourite or not (faves are risky to state when you haven't heard the entire catalogue), but this show was my wake up call this morning, and not only is it one of the more fantastic audience sources on LMA, the H>S>F is pretty damn cool ... but don't take my word for it:

Try Robwords favorite show with a thirteen minute Slipknot!

Or a very jazzy Help->Slip, sans Franklin...

I also agree 6/9/77 is cream of the crop, although 8/13/75 ("One From the Vault") is probably on par if not better.

5/9/77 is also excellent

and for the '80's I would suggest 9/6/83 at Red Rocks.

Boston Garden
9-20-1991 Set II Openers
Help On The Way
Slipknot!
Fire On The Mountain

I heartily agree on 6-9-77. Does Help>Slip>Samson>Slip>Franklin from 10-9-76 count? The Slip reprise is what I play for friends who don't know the boys.

This perhaps is blasphemy but I've never been a fan of Franklin's Tower. It's the repetitive nature of the bar, chorus, bar, chorus, bar, chorus, over and over and over. Sometimes the end of Terrapin Station can get like too. I love Slipknot and Help On The Way can be good too...but I don't want to hear 14 minutes of the same thing when Franklin's Tower comes along. Anybody else feel this way? probably not....ha. I'm probably alone on this one.

I guess it is some sort of heresy, but I'm inclined to agree with you.
